Chocolat Weiss, a French manufacturer, has had over 100 years to perfect their technique. We look forward to trying more of these… too bad they aren’t easy to find in the States.
Chocolat Weiss Chocolate Reviews
Dark Chocolate with Orange Peel (67%)
The chocolate itself is… hmmm. One might have said, “It’s too chalky!” Until one realized it was a 67%. And one didn’t realize it was a 67% because it wasn’t at all bitter. Overall, the chocolate flavor didn’t quite pop, but it was very good. And the candied orange peel had a nice flavor that blended well with that of the chocolate. A solid, but not outstanding, creation by Chocolat Weiss.

Dark Chocolate (64%) with Fruit and Nuts
The best thing about this bar was the crunch. It had a very pleasing ratio of nuts to chocolate. The chocolate itself was good, though a little brittle and a little bitter. The fruit and nut flavor didn’t really appear until halfway through the bar, and even then there wasn’t much complexity to get excited about.
