Mmmmm… what’s not to like about this rich and flavorful hot chocolate? Good for the planet and the farmers who grow it, to boot! Fans of Swiss Miss just do not know what they’re missing. I have to admit, I’ve something of an addiction to this stuff in the wintertime.

It’s hard to pick out anything terribly wrong with this Equal Exchange chocolate bar, but hard to point out anything outstanding, either. It is very tasty, albeit a bit sweet, but the flavor just doesn’t make one say “WOW!” It did have a nice aroma and texture, and a pleasing amount of almond crunch. And, organic and Fair Trade are always a bonus.

Organic Very Dark Chocolate (71%)

A pleasant, but not exceptional, dark chocolate. It has a good texture for being so dark, and only a bit of bitter aftertaste. The flavor is fruity, verging on sour. We were pleased, not enamored.
